Why Clean My Mac?

Why Clean my Mac? Or more so why not, as like with any personal computer over time your Mac requires a regular registry system clean and my experience so far with frequent system cleaning via reliable maintenance cleaning software such as MacPaw – Clean my Mac, significantly reduces system freeze ups, crashes and data corruption/loss.

A lot of people ask me; “How frequently should I Clean My Mac out?”  I say how often do you clean yourself!  But seriously, I generally run my copy of the MacPaw – Clean my Mac utility software (i run MacPaw – Clean my Mac  (click here to view the MacPaw – Clean my Mac website) due to it’s awesome ability to clean my Mac and because of the ton of extra utilities you get with it – for around 38 bucks) I have used MacPaw – Clean my Mac for around 3 years now and before that I didn’t run any 3rd party utility software as I though the Mighty Macs were idiot proof. They are to a certain extent. Here’s why the Mac requires a decent 3rd party utility software application to clean my Mac.

  • Windows Viruses and Malware - Did you know you are most likely infecting your family and friends PCs with Windows OS viruses and malware directly from your Mac? Yep you better believe it!  Mac’s are pretty well immune to Windows viruses, however if you are not running decent Mac Antivirus Software, then you better be!
  • Website Temp files and Cookies - Most websites you visit will store temporary files (cookies etc) on your Mac system to increase web page load times when you return and other fancy website features to enhance your browsing experience. This is generally fine, however, some people (I know I certainly do) visit between 20-30 different websites a per day. Some a lot more than that – I would be in the higher category for sure, so imagine after a month you could potentially have visited 900 website (if you have teenagers the double it lol). 900 websites! So each of these websites storing temp files and cookies etc, you start building up a lot of junk on your system.
